Old Courthouse Preservation Project The old
handicap accessible ramp, the "cattle trough," was removed and replaced with a
Old Ramp New Ramp Also, heating and air conditioning is being installed on the first floor of the Old Courthouse. Oak
Land Millwork has constructed new wooden windows to replace the deteriorated Old Windows and Door New Windows and Door As for the flooring, the old water stained carpet and rotten sub flooring was removed. Total Improvements (Donald Rigsby of Guthrie) installed a new sub floor and hardwood oak floor on the first level of the Old Courthouse. DJ's Carpet of Hopkinsville installed ceramic tile in the restrooms and carpet up the stairway and in the upper level office. Also, in the pictures you can see that old fluorescent lighting was removed and replaced with chandeliers and stem lighting. Old Floor and Lighting New Floor and Lighting
Open House Photos The City of Elkton sponsored an Open House on Sunday, November 7th. Approximately 250 people enjoyed refreshments and toured the Old Courthouse.
