The Elkton City Council met in special session on Tuesday, December 12, 2006 at 5:30 PM at Elkton City Hall with Mayor John E. Walton presiding.

City Council members present: Nancy Camp; David Powell; Bryan Blount; Eugene Jefferson; Danny Laster; and, Brad Shemwell.

Others present: City Clerk/Treasurer Laura Brock; City Attorney John P. Kirkham; Todd County Industrial Foundation members Todd Mansfield, Gary Traughber, Eston Glover, Mac Johns, Perry Lacy and Scott Marshall.

Mayor John Walton called the meeting to order at 5:30 PM.

Mrs. Camp motioned to go into executive session under KRS 61.810(1)(b) in order to discuss possible future sale of real property by the City because publicity would be likely to affect the value of the specific piece of property to be sold. Motion seconded by Mr. Laster and carried unanimously. All members in attendance at the meeting stayed in the executive session.

Upon return from executive session, the doors were opened to the public and a representative of the Todd County Standard entered the meeting.

Mrs. Camp motioned to offer to sale the property located at 617 West Main Street to the Todd County Water District at a price of $315,000 with $150,000 of the proceeds from the sale to be contributed to the Todd County Industrial Foundation. Motion seconded by Mr. Laster and carried unanimously by the Council.

Mr. Powell motioned to adjourn and seconded by Mr. Jefferson and meeting adjourned at approximately 6:15 PM.
