Renaissance on Main Facade Grant Project
The City of Elkton has received a $132,000 Facade Grant through Renaissance On Main. This grant will help seven local businesses who applied for funding to renovate the outside of their buildings with new paint, brick work, window repair, new roofs, and more. The grant will pay for 50% of all renovations approved for funding with the property owner responsible for all remaining expenses. All project work must comply with the Secretary of Interior Preservation Standards for Treatment of Historic Structures. Several of the local businesses have awarded contracts for the project.
